摘要：T HE selection of foreign serials for acquisition is a continuing problem in all libraries and a pressing one in medical libraries. Because of the increasing scope and expanding coverage of the biomedical sciences and biomedical bibliography, it is necessary for medical librarians constantly to update their serial collections. A method for the selection of titles is difficult to find when the language and the literature are relatively little known, as is the case with serial publications from the USSR.
