摘要:The appearance of a new edition of Dewey frequently gives rise to the question: what is new or different? It is doubtful that many libraries would adopt the latest schedules automatically, yet, with the extensive use of Dewey numbers preassigned by the Library of Congress, adoption could occur almost without realizing it. The seventeenth edition, which has been used by LC since July, is not simply another expansion, but contains several new features and a few major changes.
