摘要：There can be little doubt but that one of the imperatives confronting American medicine today is to find the ways and means to provide for the continuing education of health practitioners. The gap between the new knowledge generated by unprecedented research efforts, and the acquisition and application of that knowledge by those who practice is widening, not contracting. As a discovering society, we know more than we know how to use.
