摘要:Two years ago at the Seventieth Annual Meeting of the Medical Library Association, Inc., held in New York City, I made some comments and recommendations about institutional membership in the MLA. Since then, I understand, these recommendations have been under consideration by various components of the Association, including the Board. My continuing interest in these recommendations was underscored when I read the Executive Secretary's comments in the January 1973 issue of the Bulletin, page 118, where she reported on the activities of the Exchange Service, specifically: "It would be interesting to see how many additional members the dropping of this prerequisite (minimum book requirements needed for institutional membership) would produce."
