摘要：The following is a comment on Arthur Hafner's article in the October 1976 issue of the Bulletin, "Primary Journal Selection Using Citations from an Indexing Service Journal: A Method and Example from Nursing Literature." The title is slightly misleading since this technique, assuming I understand it, depends not upon an indexing service journal but upon an indexing service. It would be a very much more cumbersome task if applied to a journal as opposed to a manipulable data base.
