摘要：As a search analyst at the center contributing the largest number of users to the study byRenata Tagliacozzo entitled "Estimating the satisfaction of information users" which appeared in the April 1977 issue of the Bulletin, I am gratified that the majority of our users at the Indiana University School of Medicine Library found the search service both useful and helpful. However, I would like to point out that this library, a member of the State University of New York (SUNY) Biomedical Communication Network, processed 70% of total searches in 1973 against the SUNY/MEDLARS data base access which contained all citations from 1964 to 1973, while 30% were processed against the NLM/MEDLINE data base, which at that time contained citations from the current two or three years and covered only 1,100 selected journals instead of the entire MEDLARS file.
