摘要:The number of scholarly studies of Australian history has increased in the last twenty years [1]. The publication of Sir John Ferguson's Bibliography of Australia, 1851-1900 (1941-1969) furthered this development. Even though the names of physicians, in both their professional capacities and vocational interests, have had a prominent place in the Australian story [2], Ferguson, for reasons of space, could not include medical material in his work. This information, partially as a result of Ferguson's encouragement, has now been supplied in Sir Edward Ford's excellent Bibliography ofA ustralian Medicine.
