摘要：I would like to call the attention of BMLA readers to a recent issue of the Annals of Internal Medicine (91: 326-32, 1979) that contains an excellent summary on "Searching the literature and computerized services in medicine" by William K. Beatty. This is the best briefing for physicians I have seen on how to search the literature using, when appropriate, the newer documents and technologies. This ought to be required reading in continuing education courses for physicians, for residents, and for senior medical students. I suggest that the availability of this very useful summary be widely publicized among physicians and medical librarians.
