摘要：IN 1979/80 the University of Cincinnati Medical Center Libraries received an increased collection development budget for the first time in many years. The major portion of this increase was used to acquire new journal titles. In 1979/80, 714 titles were added to the subscription list of the Health Sciences Library unit of the Medical Center Libraries, bringing the total number of current journal titles to 2,389. Another 300 to 400 titles were expected to be added in 1980/81. An addition of such a large number of new titles necessitated the shifting of bound journals in order to provide shelving space for the new titles. The procedures developed may have relevance whenever journals are to be moved, regardless of the reasons.
