摘要：I am writing in response to the article by Julia Faust (Bulletin 1982 April;70(2):241-3). At Blodgett Memorial Medical Center, Grand Rapids, Michigan, we devised a similar method for limiting MEDLINE searches to journals held locally. The five major hospitals in Grand Rapids have an efficient system for sharing needed resources. Through experience with interlibrary loan requests and searches, we found that most of our staff's information needs could be satisfied by the holdings of the medical libraries within the city. Thus, the decision was made to create a SAVE file that would include not only our journals, but those held by the other hospital libraries as well.
