摘要:This paper advances consideration of the Heckscher-Ohlin (H-0) theory of comparative advantage to agriculture in a dynamic setting. The dynamic relationship among trade flows, resource supplies, and factor contents is studied. The view that special circumstances in the agricultural sector render the H-0 theory inapplicable as a guide to agricultural trade is challenged. Consistent with the H-0 theory, the results suggest that changing world patterns of resource abundance are an important explanation of the evolving structure of world trade in agriculture commodities.
