摘要:The economic environment of agriculture in Europe has changed quite dramatically. Both political pressure in the Uruguay Round, mostly from the United States, and large budgetary expenditures under the Common Agricultural Policy have led to a significant change in the European Union initiated in 1992. The reform of the CAP has consisted of a number of important elements. They include: · a stepwise reduction in support prices on most of the important EU markets, · acreage set-asides as requirements for direct payments to farmers, · a variety of supplementary measures, many of which motivated by environmental considerations.
