摘要：Last year's conference examined "harmonization, convergence and compatibility" of the agricultural policies of the NAFTA countries (Loyns et al, eds. 1997). Some, though not complete, progress was made towards achieving a common understanding and usage of these concepts. This year the subject is "economic harmonization." What do we mean by this? In this paper, it is taken as an abbreviation for "economic integration and policy harmonization."
