摘要：The Conservation Reserve Program (CRP), created in the 1985 Food Security Act, was enacted with the primary goal of removing highly erodible (HEL) and other environmentally sensitive land from crop production. Other goals included raising crop prices and controlling surplus crop production. A total of 36.4 million acres were enrolled nationally in the Conservation Reserve Program. Nearly all CRP contracts will expire between 1996 and 2002.
