摘要：BACKGROUND: In September 1995, 40 Afri-can policy makers and researchers met in Abidjan,C.te d'Ivoire, to examine African experience withagricultural transformation and identify actionsneeded to promote it. USAID's Office of Sustain-able Development in the Bureau for Africa(AFR/SD) sponsored the workshop, in collabora-tion with the African Development Bank (ADB),the Institut du Sahel (INSAH), and Michigan StateUniversity (MSU).
