摘要：When California voters approved Proposition 65 in 1986, some thought its novel approach to regulation of hazardous substances was going to ruin California's economy; others argued that it would significantly improve the environment and people's health. Both claims were greatly exaggerated. While Proposition 65 has contributed to environmental improvement, it also appears to be a law with which Californians and national businesses, including farmers, can live.
