摘要：Land-use in Vietnam is an important issue in the future economic growth of the country. There is a long history of many radical changes in land-use policy. Vietnam has become a leading exporter of rice (its main agricultural crop) and thus is subject to the variability of world prices. An extensive survey of some 400 farm households in Vietnam has recently been completed and some of the results are used to provide a description of a small number of households. A report is given on the development of a model, designed to reflect some of the basic economic behaviour of a village for use in examining various policy alternatives and eventually changes in land use and land use policy.
