摘要：Hampstead Garden Suburb has become an example of how a social agenda had initiated a new settlement and eventually had disappeared to yield an empty shell with tree-lined streets and picturesque image. Due to the similarities between the garden suburb concept and the new urbanist ideals, the story of Hampstead Garden Suburb is discussed as a cautionary one, despite the remarkable accomplishments of the individuals involved in its development.
