摘要:As the social entrepreneurship concept continues to gain public recognition and momentum it has also generated a growing demand among college students for nonprofit entrepreneurship educational opportunities. However, the core features of such a curriculum are not well understood. Critical concepts remain poorly defined and the relation between social entrepreneurship and other fields of study continues to be rather fuzzy. This paper approach social entrepreneurship from a nonprofit studies perspective. By combining insights from the entrepreneurship and nonprofit literature a tool is introduced for educators, students and nonprofit practitioners to approach and discuss nonprofit entrepreneurship in a new way. Using four central features: the nonprofit mission, entrepreneurial opportunities, organizational capacity, and human competence, the tool provides one way to address entrepreneurship in a nonprofit organizational setting by centering on the entrepreneurial space these features can generate.
