摘要：Mary Hiscock and David Allan are both comparative lawyers of distinction who have promoted the cause of the internationalisation of Australian law. Their work highlights the role of academic lawyers in the development of the law and the status of legal writings as a source of law. It also raises the question of how one measures a professional reputation. The purpose of this article is to consider the relationship between these questions.
