摘要：This article presents a historical outline of the Hector Backbone region, which the other articles in the journal outline. It describes the region of Hector Backbone as being located between the traditional territories of the Cayuga nad the Seneca Nations of the Iroquois Confederacy. This is a general outline of the economic and demographic trends of that area from the 18th to 19th centuries.
