摘要：All governments require accurate information on how the economy functions in order to formulate and implement sound agricultural policies. Policies to ensure food security are no different. Efforts to keep food prices at tolerable levels require information about the competitiveness of the wholesaling, milling, and retailing stages of the food value chain. The main objective for this paper is to better inform policy discussions about the effects of alternative maize pricing and marketing policies on national food security and agricultural development.
