摘要：All 95 undergraduates in this study decided if letter strings formed real words or not. Word meaning (ambiguous, unambiguous words) was manipulated within subjects while stimulus proportion (proportion of ambiguous and unambiguous words) was manipulated between subjects. These factors interacted, suggesting that strategic factors influence word recognition. These results support the view that word recognition is strategic and, thus, an attention demanding process.
