摘要:Food poisoning is a general name given to illness contracted by consuming contaminated food and water. Some strains of Staphylococcus aureus capable of producing enterotoxin are one of the main sources associated with staphylococcal food poisoning. Cheese is the one of the most common foods reported in staphylococcal food poisoning cases. The mains reasons for food poisoning due to enterotoxigenic strains of Staphylococcus aureus present in cheeses are contaminated raw milk, inadequate heat treatment, inadequate sanitation during manufacture and improper storage conditions.
