  • 摘要:This research was conducted to investigate the effect of rolled oats added to the diet of healthy and voluntary subjects (10 males, 10 females) on the serum glucose, triglyceride, total cholesterol, HDL, LDL and VLDL cholesterol levels. The experiment group has been distributed into two groups. The first group has been given 40 grams/day rolled oats, the second group has been given 60 grams/day rolled oats and have been introduced to eat for three weeks. The fasting blood samples of the subjects have been taken at the beginning of the research and at the end the third week. The mean age of the subjects was 36,0±3,87 years for males, 36,6±3,87 years for females. According to the body mass index, it was found out that 40% of the males and 60% of the females had normal body weight. It was concluded that the rolled oats added to the diets of subjects, cause decrease in serum glucose, triglyceride, total cholesterol, LDL and VLDL cholesterol levels when compared to the initial levels.
