  • 摘要:In this research, to decrease the period for analysis of coliform, fecal coliform, E. coli analyzing according to TS/ISO 6063 by MPN method were investigated. A combined medium was developed by adding 0.1% tryptophane to EC Broth and 290 enterobacteria isolates (mostly coliforms) were analyzed for growth, gas and indol production at 44.5±0.5 oC. LST Broth+MUG was used as control medium for these tests in addition to fluorescence reaction so that if this medium may be an alternative to TS/ISO method. According to results, all 190 E. coli isolates gave equal result as expected in both culture media. It revealed that time period for analysis can be decreased to 3 days by using EC Broth+Tryptophane Medium instead of 6 days by the TSE/ISO 6063 method. No false reaction was obtained in LST Broth+MUG for 290 bacteria.
