摘要:In this study, an investigation has been carried out on the existence of some synthetic dyes especially having an aromatic azo structure in those butters which are not allowed to be added with the synthetic dyes as stipulated by the Food Registration. Consequently, it was observed that 5 of 30 butter samples had been added with p-dimethylamino azobenzene which is a synthetic dye prohibited to be used in foodstuffs. The harmful effects of this synthetic dye has been discussed depend on the literature data.
