摘要:In this research, the dyes permitted to be used in foodstuff in Turkey (Eritrosine, İndigotine, Tartrazine, Sunset yellow F.C.F., Ponceau 4R) and forbidden dyes (Ponceau 3R, Ponceau SX, Brilliant Blue F.C.F. and Amaranth) were investigated by using Thin Layer Chromatography. Forbidden dyes (Ponceau 3R, Ponceau SX, Brilliant Blue F.C.F., Amaranth) were detected in the 11 of 25 sugar samples and the presence of various synthetic dyes which are forbidden to be used in fruity ice-cream samples according to Food Registration such as Tartrazine, Sunset Yellow F.C.F., Ponceau 4R, Ponceau SX, were also found in 16 out of analyzed 29 samples. The usage of these food dyes against the regulations of Food Registration are discussed for their potentiality at risk in public health.
