摘要：An analysis of the Roman mosaic showing the punishment of Dirce, together with the surrounding walls and frescoes, was performed, continuing thus the project of the Archaeological Museum of Istria, which aims to document the state and to plan the future of the monuments at Pula. This analysis comprised the collection of all documentation related to this mosaic since the time of its discovery, the making of a photogrammetric survey, laboratory analyses and maps showing the recorded degradations. The aim of this paper is to present in a concise manner the results of the above mentioned works, reviewing in the process the conservation-restoration operations that might be needed, as well as those aimed at the renewed valorization of the site.
