摘要：The reports between people are the basis of the society and, derived from them, the reports of labour are the basis of the economy. In other words, a society that does not offer correct reports of labour fro m both economic and ethical points of view cannot be named as one that promotes performance and competitiveness. All the societies, including the modern and judicial specialised ones, allow the evasion or even the circumvention of some social- moral civil obligations and indeb tedness in the conditions of respecting the law. In this context, the duty, as the ethical value through which the laws and the regulations are respected, is not enough for an efficient and beneficial for the society work report. It must be completed by dignity, a necessary and obligatory value for the efficient and on a long term efficient relation of work. In this context, the value of dignity is wanted to be investigated, using the data from the last study of the World Values Survey and comparing them with the data from The Global Competitiveness Report 2012-2013, to observe if the declarative level of this value is equal to the level of it when it is put into practice
