摘要:In this work, we study the elimination of two organic dyes (Methylene blue MB and Red195) by adsorption on fly ash and bottom ash from a thermal power plant (province of El Jadida). The two adsorbents were previously characterized. A series of experiments was then conducted to stud y the influence of some parameters on the adsorption capacity such as adsorben t mass, pH, contact time, initial concentration of the dyes, the effect of salts and temperature. The overall results showed th at the adsorption kinetics of the two dyes on the two materials is well described by the second order model. The adsorption isotherms of the adsorbent/adsorbate systems studied are described satisfactorily by the mathematical model of Langmuir. The pH of the solution has a little effect on discoloration. Furthermore, the thermodynamic stud y revealed that the adsorption is spontaneous and exothermic.
