摘要：This paper studies the production management in oil platforms offshore, identifying the studied organization's expectations and the barriers to introduction of methodological resources known in production management, delivering global analysis and suggestions that contribute to dissemination of such resources in the production management in platforms offshore. It applies specific methodological resources to identify problems and diagnose causes and its treatment. The survey was conducted through a case study of a company in the oil and gas industry through visits and interviews with managers and specialists for planning, scheduling and production control. The outcomes of the field and bibliographical researches, it was possible to analyze the 2012 production losses. The major losses pointed out were: Leak (oil, gas and water) and interruption of the electric power supply. This major causes were identified with the aid of interviews and field observation.
