摘要：It is a great pleasure for me to make available to you the rst number of Volume 5 of 2014 of the Chilean Journal of Statistics, published by the Chilean Statistical Society. Seven papers are included in this issue. These papers cover the following topics: Generalized skew-normal distributions, 3D Modeling, Reparametrization for Accelerated Lifetime Testing, Estimation in the presence of non-response, Goodness-of- t Tests, Normal Population Parameters Estimation and Comparative study of Bhattacharyya and Kshirsagar bounds. I would like to thank the researchers and internationally renowned statisticians who have honored us by choosing our young journal to publish some of their research. I would like to thank the collaboration of several referees, whose excellent and anonymous work have made possible the publication of this issue.
