摘要：In this article, we aimed to prove the advantages of dermatoscopic examination in a clinical case with a pigmentary formation in zygomatic region. We used a Delta 20 (Heine) dermatoscope adapted with a Nikon 4500 digital camera for image storage. We tried to show the dermatoscopic algorithms of differentiation between melanocytic and nonmelanocytic lesions and we used pattern analysis criteria for the dermatoscopic differentiation between benign melanocytic lesions and melanoma. Associated with the clinical, historical, evoluative and dermoscopic data, we tried to identify the preoperative nature of the melanoma, the Breslow thickness and finally made a correlation with the histopathological image of our patient. We thin that dermoscopic criteria correlated with sound histopathological elements make dermoscopy a useful tool for the diagnosis and preoperative evaluation of pigmented lesions.
