摘要：The following historical study presents honey as therapeutic means. The ancient Greeks knew the therapeutic and healing properties of honey and that is why it was used widely in the treatment of skin ulcers and pressure ulcers. Those observations, although empirical, revealed the beneficial effects that honey had, especially in leg ulcers. A systematic study of the subject is suggested.
