摘要:Myocardial infarction (MI) may result in development of left ventricular (LV) aneurysm that may lead to ventricular tachyarrhythmia and mural thrombi. In this case, we present a patient with coronary artery disease and LV aneurysm, who rejected surgical treatment, but then had to be operated under emergency conditions after a short period of cardiac arrest. Two months after cardiac catheterization, the patient was admitted to our clinic with severe chest pain. After a short period of cardiac arrest, he was operated under emergency conditions. Complete coronary revascularization and resection of the LV aneurysm was performed. The postoperative course was uneventful and the patient was discharged six days after surgery. Complete coronary revascularization and resection of LV aneurysms are the important goals in these patients. When elective operation is rejected by the patients, such emergency operations can be performed with increased mortality and morbidity.
