  • 摘要:The concentrations of zinc, iron, chromium, calcium, magnesium, nickel, lead, copper, cobalt and cadmium were determined in six major classes of biscuits in Nigerian market after acid digestion by flame atomic absorption spectrophotometry. The mean concentrations of metals in various biscuit classes ranged from 29.06-49.27, 45.02-109.00, 0.39-0.72, 0.01-2.90, 205.64-395.27, 118.10-121.30, 2.15-4.88, <0.001-1.07, 0.53-5.04, nd-1.30, 0.03-0.05 μg g-1 for Zn, Fe, Cr, Mn, Ca, Mg, Ni, Pb, Cu. Co and Cd, respectively. The estimated daily intake in μg kg-1 body weight is below the prescribed Tolerable Daily Intake (TDI) values for each metal except for nickel.
