摘要:The proliferation of mobile devices and mobile applications in the market has radically changed the way we handle our daily life activities. The rapid growth of mobile device technology has enabled user to use it for various purposes such as web browsing, ubiquitous services, social networking, MMS and many more. To date, Googles Android Operating System has become the most popular choice of operating system for mobile devices since it is open source and easy to use. Despite the rapid growth of Android-based mobile devices in the market, its also has becoming an ideal place for malware writers. The increase in mobile application in Android has also ignited the possibility of malicious program that can exploit mobile devices and consequently expose any sensitive transaction made by the user. Hence, there is a need to study the anti-mobile malware and mobile malware detection in order to provide an effective solution to defend the mobile user from any malicious threat. Based on these reason this study addresses the current mobile malware detection issues with the intention to thoroughly survey and study the current available detection system for Android-based mobile devices. From the study, we proposed the taxonomy of mobile malware detection that outline and classify the existing Android-based mobile malware detection system. The benefit and constraint of each classification of Android malware detection system are also discussed.
