  • 摘要:Author Jean-Claude André CNRS-ENSIC-université de Lorraine LRGP UPR 3349 1, rue Grandville 54000 Nancy France Key words: interdisciplinarity, new public management, responsible research, risks DOI : 10.1684/ers.2012.0592 Page(s) : 68-76 Published in: 2013 More and more, researchers working in the public domain are required to meet contractual commitments and, despite apparent support for interdisciplinarity and open connections, to deepen their involvement in their own discipline (which is nonetheless useful for knowledge development). This way of thinking, applied in several developed countries, does not allow either sufficient detachment or a collective and responsible approach to research activity. This activity, in turn, is increasingly guided by considerations external to the researcher, who must, to finance his or her activity, submit to the framework of calls for proposals. The objective of this essay is try is to envision the place of public research in a context where traditions from an elitist past are increasingly broken in the intensification of research that is ever more oriented towards support for specific socio-economic activities. The current situation is therefore not especially propitious for an open approach towards solving society's needs, either through a serene analysis of the risks linked to technological advances allowed by science, or finally through sharing the knowledge thus created with society. Will the researcher in this framework simply become a professional, as so many others have?
