Depressive and anxiety may decompensate the physiological cognitive decline related to aging, mainly marked by an executive function decline. Moreover, very frequent vascular lesions may progressively accumulate in elderly, leading to a further decrease of executive function. These vascular lesions that are very frequently disclosed by MRI in elderly are however often considered as asymptomatic. Altogether, this cognitive decline may induce frailty and even autonomy loss.
