The aim of this paper is to explicit the synthetic classification of these perceptions and physical illusions purposed by one of the autors (André JM). Different types of perceptions are described: perception of real state, illusion of body normality, normal phantom limbs, deformed phantom limbs, commémorative phantom limbs. These observed body perceptions and body illusions could be etablished from polymodal sensorial afférents (immédiate data) and/or engrams held in memory (species specific bodyengrams, identifying body-self engrams, autobiographical body engrams). Different body perceptions and illusions can occur preferentially in certain circumstances depends on attention-context, emotionnal and affective context and available sensorial inputs. The reconstruction procedures of body image is indispensable to maintain internally coherent body and space relationships.
