摘要:Author Daniel Dubost Faculté des Sciences, Université d’Angers, 2, boulevard Lavoisier, 49045 Angers, Cedex, France. Page(s) : 85-96 Published in: 1992 The water reserves of the Algerian desert would be enough to irrigate 100,000 ha if modern farming and land-management techniques were used. As a priority, crops could be devoted to supply the saharan towns with fresch fruits and vegetables and the home market (food industry). Algeria could be so to find again one place like date-exporting country. Expensive in any case, saharan farming to be successful, have to furnish original and high quality products. Development policy have to rely on the support of the more dynamic farmers, in the respect of natural resources and ecological requirements, integrating them in the moving of the others economic sectors. The key of the problem stays in dialogue and in cooperation of all the concerned operators.
