The CORDEX program is a coordinated experiment involving many research centres throughout the world, which aims at simulating the future climate. This program provides high-resolution climate change scenarios for impact studies over large portions of the world using RCMs. Data analysed in this study are present-day simulations. These runs cover the period 1989-2008 and the driving fields (lateral boundary conditions) are from the Era-Interim reanalysis. The seasonal and diurnal cycles of the rainfall and hydroclimatic events simulated by RCMs are analysed and compared to available observation data.
