摘要：A set of experimental patterns during imbibition were studied. We made measuremnts of the imbibition fronts (boundary between dry and wet zones), through the recording of these patterns and digitization of selected frames, on paper with several shapes. Good agreement between the experiments and the Washburn Law is obtained for a vertical strip of paper, however this law is not universal and depends critically on the geometry.
