摘要：La teoría neoliberal, en auge en América Latina en la década de los noventa, es una de las principales variables para explicar la situación de creciente pobreza en esa región. Por ello se analizarán en este artículo los destacados referentes teóricos de esta corriente. Asimismo, se examinarán las principales características de la profundización de la pobreza en la región.
其他摘要：The neoliberal theory is one of the most important elements to consider in order to explain the growing poverty in Latin America. Due to this fact, the emphasized theoretical regardings will be analyzed in the present article. At the same time, the main characteristics of poverty in Latin America will be examined here.
