摘要：En este trabajo se analiza cómo, a pesar del debilitamiento de la estructura patriarcal de la familia y de la mayor participación femenina en los mercados de empleo, las actividades domésticas siguen siendo definidas como femeninas y realizadas principalmente por las mujeres. La revisión de la literatura al respecto nos muestra que la participación de los varones en las tareas del hogar es escasa y con frecuencia nula. Esto es cierto incluso en los países más industrializados, donde las tasas de participación femenina en los empleos son mayores y también cuando las esposas ganan más que los maridos. Se argumenta que la escasa participación masculina en el hogar constituye un freno para el desarrollo de las mujeres, pues además de las dobles jornadas de trabajo para aquellas que están empleadas, la responsabilidad exclusiva del ámbito doméstico se traduce con frecuencia en una discontinuidad laboral. Por último, se arguye que las ideologías de género representan uno de los principales obstáculos que deben enfrentar las mujeres para su desarrollo y una de las causas que refuerzan las iniquidades entre hombres y mujeres.
其他摘要：In this work it is analysed how, despite of the deterioration of the patriarchal family structure and the increased feminine participation in labour markets, domestic activities are still defined as being feminine and continue to be done mainly by women. The revision of the literature on this subject shows that the male participation in housework is scarce and often non-existent. This is true, even in more industrialised countries where the rate of feminine participation in the labour market is higher, and also if wives earn more than their husbands. It is discussed that the scarce masculine participation in the housework represents a restraint for the development of the women, in addition to the fact that the double shifts of work for the ones employed and the exclusive responsibility for the household often lead to a labour discontinuity. At last, it is discussed that the gender ideologies represent one of the main obstacles that women have to face for their development and as well one of the causes that strengthens the iniquities between men and women.
