摘要：En este artículo se ofrece un análisis de los principales problemas que enfrenta la fuerza de trabajo de México hacia finales de los años noventa del siglo XX, y se revisan los resultados de las proyecciones de la población económicamente activa para las primeras décadas del nuevo siglo. Asimismo, se reflexiona sobre las políticas que se han puesto en marcha en materia laboral en el país y sobre la urgente necesidad que existe de ampliarlas y reorientarlas.
其他摘要：In this article the author analyzes the main problems that the Mexican labor force faces at the end of the 20th century, as well as the results of the economically active population projections for the first decades of the new century. Also, the existing labor market policies are critically reviewed, and it is pointed out that there is a need for extending and reorienting them.
