摘要：Este artículo describe el comportamiento de los ingresos de los hogares y su distribución durante los últimos 25 años en México, e identifica, los componentes más importantes de los cambios en los niveles de desigualdad. Parte de una panorámica de la evolución del ingreso medio de los hogares según deciles de ingreso per cápita, y continúa analizando los cambios en la distribución del ingreso de los hogares y sus correspondientes coeficientes de Gini. Asimismo, analiza el aporte de las cuatro fuentes principales de ingreso en la formación de los coeficientes de Gini. Se procesaron las bases de datos de la Encuesta Nacional de Ingresos y Gastos de los Hogares (ENIGH) de 1977, 1984, 1989, 1992, 1994, 1996, 1998 y 2000. Los cuadros presentados distribuyen el ingreso según deciles de hogares ordenados por ingreso monetario per cápita con el objeto de controlar el tamaño de hogar, evitando que unidades domésticas grandes, con ingresos totales altos, pero bajos expresados en ingreso per cápita, queden incluidos en los deciles superiores.
其他摘要：This article describes the patterns and distribution of household income in Mexico, and identifies the most significant components of the change in the levels of inequality for the last 25 years. It starts by describing the evolution of the average household income according to per capita income deciles, and continues by analyzing the changes in the distribution of household income and its corresponding Gini coefficient. It also analyzes the contribution of the four most important income sources in the construction of the Gini coefficient. The database used in this article is the National Household Income Survey (ENIGH in Spanish) for the years 1977, 1984, 1989, 1992, 1994, 1996, 1998 and 2000. In order to take into account household size, and thus avoiding the inclusion of large domestic units in higher deciles due to their higher total income, the tables in this article show the distribution of income sorted by monetary income per capita instead of presenting the distribution of income according to total income deciles.
