摘要：Diante da importância que a atividade turística tem alcançado, percebe-se a necessidade e o esforço por parte dos gestores envolvidos em planejar o turismo de forma adequada, buscando a sustentabilidade econômica, social, cultural e ambiental da região receptora. Dessa forma, esse artigo tem como objetivo estudar as políticas públicas existentes para esse setor, analisando mais especificamente, o Plano de Desenvolvimento Integrado do Turismo Sustentável - PDITS do Pólo Seridó, trazendo ainda uma pequena abordagem sobre o Plano Nacional de Turismo - PNT e o Programa Regional de Desenvolvimento do Turismo - PRODETUR. . A metodologia utilizada neste trabalho foi construída por meio de pesquisa bibliográfica, empírica e documental. Como resultado tem-se que o PDITS do Polo Seridó do RN vem concretizar os planos do Governo Federal, e os ideais almejados pelos Seridoenses há alguns anos, uma vez que a Região já participou de alguns projetos para desenvolvimento do turismo. O PDITS caracteriza-se como um instrumento de gestão e planejamento turístico para Região Seridó, que tem por objetivo principal orientar o crescimento do setor em bases sustentáveis, a curto, médio e longo prazo, estabelecendo as bases para a definição de ações, as prioridades e a tomada de decisão.
其他摘要：Given the importance that tourism has achieved, one sees the need and effort of managers involved in planning tourism appropriately, seeking sustainable economic, social, cultural and environmental aspects of the receiving region. Thus, this article aims to study existing public policies for this sector, analyzing more specifically, the Integrated Development Plan for Sustainable Tourism - PDITS of Polo Seridó, bringing even a small approach on the National Tourism Plan - Program and NWP regional Tourism Development - PRODETUR. The methodology used was constructed by means of literature, empirical and documentary. The result is that the PDITS of Polo Seridó/ RN has plans materialize, the Federal Government, and the ideals sought by Seridoenses few years, since the Region has participated in some projects for tourism development. The PDITS characterized as a management tool and trip planning to Seridó Region, which has the main objective driving the growth of the sector on a sustainable basis, the short, medium and long term, establishing the basis for the definition of actions, priorities and decision making.
