摘要：O website fortalezas.org oferece livre acesso ao banco de dados sobre fortificações históricas no mundo, onde qualquer pessoa pode consultar e contribuir com o seu conteúdo on line. Esta contribuição para o banco de dados (textos, fotos, iconografias antigas, mapas, vídeos, projetos CAD, bibliografias, perso- nagens históricos, agenda) pode ser realizada por qualquer pesquisador, em Português, Espanhol e Inglês, a partir de qualquer lugar com acesso à internet. Além da contribuição para socializar o acesso à informação, o Banco de Dados fortalezas.org pretende democratizar a construção do conhecimento através da criação de uma comunidade virtual e internacional interessada no estudo, divulgação e valorização das fortificações. A plataforma serve como ferramenta de gestão e otimização do potencial turístico, instrumento de pesquisa e educação sobre patrimônio e base para estudos e pesquisas científicas. Funciona ainda como uma ferramenta de documentação, promoção, conservação e difusão destes monumentos. Portanto, é um mecanismo de ação a favor da memória, da preservação das fortificações e do turismo cultural.
其他摘要：The Website fortalezas.org provides freely access to database of historical fortifications around the World, where you can consult, research and contribute with its contents online. This contribution to database (texts, pictures, old iconographies, maps, videos, CAD projects, bibliographies, historical characters, agenda, among others), can be done by any researcher, in Portuguese, Spanish and English, from anywhere with inter- net access. Beyond the real contribution to socialize the access to information, fortalezas.org Database intend to democratize the knowledge construction, by creating a virtual and international community interested on the fortifications study, publicizing and valorizing. It serves to the purposes: management tool and potential touristic optimization, heritage education tool and base for studies and scientific investigations. It works yet as a documentation tool, promotion, conservation and diffusion these monuments. Therefore, it is a mechanism of action in favour of the memory, the preservation of the fortifications and cultural tourism.
